Our desire is that men would grow in their depth and knowledge of the Word as well as develop meaningful and accountable relationships with one another. There are a number of ways we are trying to accomplish this:
Men’s Bible Studies – We currently have one men's’ bible study that meets on Wednesday mornings at 6:30 am at the church. There will be time for an indepth look into the scriptures followed by a coffee time at one of our local restaurants. The focus here is around the Word of God as well as deepening friendship with one another.
Men’s Breakfast – The first Saturday of every month we meet at the church at 8 a.m. for a great home made breakfast followed by a testimony and prayer.
Hiking and Camping Trips – Numerous times throughout the summer we go on day, overnight and backcountry hiking trips. Check under Events for this years' dates.
WOMEN'S MINISTRIES
Our desire is that women would grow in relationship with the Lord and with each other in a way that brings glory to God. Some of our ministries include:
Ladies Bible Studies - We currently run one ladies' Bible studies, one on Monday evenings and the other on Wednesday mornings. Wednsday morning session has childcare.
Craft Night - On the first Tuesday of the month (Oct, Nov, Dec, Feb, Mar, Apr, May) ladies from the church and community come together to do a craft, make new friends, have a night out and
hear a testimony.
Yearly Special Events - We have several great yearly events for ladies, including retreats and a Christmas dessert night.
SMALL GROUP MINISTRIES
Many today long for the joy of being connected in an authentic biblical community. They desire to experience the richness that comes in genuinely knowing others and in being known. In a larger church it is fairly easy to get lost in the crowd and it can never really feel like home.
That is why we at Strathmore Alliance Church desire for each person and family to find a place to connect with God and others…a place where friendships are discovered and where spiritual transformation occurs in our lives. We long to see people involved in community where no one stands alone.
Small Groups are a place where this can happen. We have quite a number of small groups that meet on different evenings that are studying different topics. Our small groups are Word centered but also include prayer and great times of fellowship. If this interests you, please call Darrell Young at the church office.
