Profile

We are a church family of mixed generations. We have many young families just getting their start, some folks in the middle raising their teenagers, and a brilliant group of seniors who give us wisdom, experience, and encouragement. Our services have no dress code, unspoken or otherwise. Some like to wear a dress or a tie, but many come in very casual clothing. Many have said our church is very friendly; still we encourage you to be bold and introduce yourself. We value authentic Christian community and we also have a high regard for the Bible.

Sunday School

From September through May we offer Sunday school education for age 2 and up. Our desire here is to learn about God’s Word and its application for all areas of life. Sunday school begins at 9:30 and there is a half-hour break between Sunday school and the service. This allows us to have a coffee and visit together.

Service Times

The weekly service begins at 11:00 am and concludes around noon. In the summer months our services begin at 10:30.

Music

We sing a blend of old and new songs. There is richness in the great hymns; there is also a blessing in the songs of modern times. We don’t promise to make everyone happy with every song. Instead, we ask the congregation to come together to lift voices together to praise the High King of Heaven.

Body of Service

Our services emphasize the involvement of a variety of our people in leading music, reading Scripture, offering prayers, and receiving tithes and offerings. On the first Sunday of each month we share the Communion Table together. Baptisms and baby dedications occur on a regular basis. From time to time we even send the roving mike around to hear what is on the heart of individuals.

Sermons

Preaching at Strathmore Alliance Church is almost always expositional, meaning that the point of the text is the point of the sermon. We aim to present sermon ser

ies from both the Old and New Testaments. We attempt to faithfully share the gospel driven by the conviction that we need the Word of God with the Spirit of God to do the Work of God in the people of God. Click here to listen to a sermon.

Conclusion

We often sing one more song after the sermon to help us reflect on the truth we have just encountered in the Word, and then are we dismissed with an encouragement to go out and live our faith. Many like to linger as they share their lives with each other. It common to find folks arranging to go for lunch together or inviting someone home for a meal.
