We employ various arts in our worship and teaching at Strathmore Alliance Church. There are many ways to be involved in our church life through the arts. If you enjoy singing you can join our choir, and if you are a musician you can audition for our worship teams or orchestra. Or if you are technically inclined, we could use your help with our audio/visual team.
Choir
Our church hosts three performances of the interchurch choir Christmas cantata. The choir is sixty voices strong, but we are always glad to have more people join us to sing. Occasionally, the choir will sing in one of our Sunday morning services. Joining the choir is often the first step to being involved in our music program.
Orchestra
The orchestra performs during the Christmas cantata with the choir and is comprised of many instruments and our musicians come from many churches. We are always looking for more players.
Worship teams
Worship teams are bands that lead the congregational singing in our services. The music we use in our church is a blend of older and newer hymns.
